The Presidents of the Municipal Boards of Barrio del Progreso, Infante Juan Manuel, Barriomar and El Carmen have sent a letter to the Delegate of the Government of Murcia to express their discomfort and complaint for not having been summoned to the meeting held yesterday to monitor the works that are being developed in Murcia for the installation of the tracks in the underground tunnel.
Thus they regret that Adif technicians met with neighborhood associations, merchants and Ampas of schools in the area, which are collectives that collect part of the concerns of the total of the neighbors that they, as presidents of the Municipal Boards, legitimately represent .
That is why they have demanded that the Government Delegation be convened in a new meeting to receive from the Adif technicians the explanations that they will transfer to all the affected neighbors.
As stated in the letter "this exclusion can only respond to a sectarian, ideological or political position, which we regret since this is a project that affects everyone regardless of political colors or ideological positioning."
Thus, they demand that “in the next occasions we be called as legitimate representatives of the residents of our Municipal Boards to all the informative meetings related to the project of the arrival of the AVE to the city of Murcia”.
