The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, has met with the Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University of Genoa, Andrea Trucco, in the framework of the twinning between Murcia and the Italian city.
One of the lines of work included in the twinning agreement is to strengthen and support the relations between both university communities from the respective local corporations.
"This meeting has allowed us to know directly what are the undergraduate studies currently undergoing Erasmus between both institutions," said Bernabé, who also adds the intention that this project is an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between both cities, beyond of twinning, involving the whole society.
Also, the councilor has had the opportunity to learn about the experience of three Murcia students, who are currently doing an Erasmus stay in Genoa, and a Murcia teacher who has been living in the Italian city for 15 years teaching Spanish in an institute.
All agree on the same: "Genoa is a city very similar to Murcia, a pleasant, close and affectionate town."
Another of the outstanding ideas is the advantage of twinning because, as the testimonies stand out, "the union between both cities is an opportunity for mutual enrichment and to open borders to the Erasmus project."
