The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, reminded the socialist councilor Juan Vicente Larrosa that "one of the strategic projects of this Government Team is the complete restructuring of urban transport."
"The first thing you have to do is learn the system of operation of public transport in Murcia and how the skills are distributed, since many of the statements that the City requires are the responsibility of the CARM," said Pérez.
The councilor has stressed that "we are preparing an ambitious Mobility Plan that will connect districts if and in turn with the Universities and Hospitals of reference, with a complete network of parking lots, transport nodes and new fast lines, addressing mobility in an integral way and not in its minimalist version ".
"Right now we are carrying out the technical study that will lay the foundations for the reorganization of urban transport in Murcia, developing innovative, sustainable and economic means of transport plans, and we are also demanding that CARM assume the solutions of the lines of districts that they are of his competition ", explained the mayor
Pérez has criticized that the PSOE "only dedicates itself to saying no to everything instead of contributing ideas and proposals. Sometimes it seems that they do not want to bet on a new modern, ecological and fast system that will also be designed with the greatest consensus and with the wider participation. That's where the socialists will have to show that they really care about public transport. We are eager to know their proposals and not the banner policy. "
