The Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, has presented this morning the prizes of the Christmas Hall contest that allowed the decoration of the different rooms of the Artillery Barracks during the past Christmas.
To this initiative were presented different experts from very diverse branches of creation, such as interior designers, creatives, artists, designers or architects, among others and divided by groups were responsible for creating a Christmas atmosphere of contemporary character and with a current symbology.
Thus, two awards were established, both endowed with a thousand euros.
The first one, the jury, has fallen to the team 'This Christmas, your grain of sand counts' while the public chose the team 'Inside the Tree'.
The team 'This Christmas, your grain of sand counts' has been made up of Aránzazu Álvarez González, Antonio Sánchez Lavella, Carmen González Pérez, Ana M. Lavella Clemares, Raquel M. Álvarez González and
Manuel J. Álvarez Astillero, while 'Inside the tree' was integrated by Marina Díaz Menchero, Esther Gambín Abellón, María Dolores Fernández Valera, Isabel Sánchez Huertas and Rosalía Sánchez Huertas.
To choose the winners, during the exhibition time of these rooms, more than 1,000 visitors voted for the option they liked the most while an expert jury, consisting of Sergio Ramos, Juan Antonio Torres, María José Marcos, Mercedes Hidalgo and Álvaro Peña , met to give his verdict.
Councilor Jesús Pacheco thanked the participants "who have allowed, thanks to their creativity, thousands of people have been able to enjoy during these past Christmas dates of these rooms decorated as Christmas salons, enriching the offer of the southern part of the city to the time it has served as a great starting signal for the activities of this new cultural space. "
