The kitchen and pastry of Murcia have starred in this day to which renowned professionals have attended, such as Murcian chef Pablo González-Conejero.
During the months of January and February, the headquarters of the Romea Theater will host four other forums of ideas: sommeliers and room managers, tourism, training and business sector.
The main chefs of the Region will discuss the present and the future of Murcian gastronomy in the five Ideas Forums that will host the central office of 'Murcia, Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2020' between January and February, on the ground floor of the Theater Romea, an activity in which professionals from the kitchen and confectionery sector, sommeliers and room managers will participate, as well as training experts and tourism and business professionals.
"The objective of these days is to design new projects and avant-garde initiatives to publicize the cuisine of our land in Spain and around the world, positioning Murcia and the entire Region as a gastronomic tourist destination of reference," said the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez, who attended this morning the I Forum of Ideas, whose central theme has revolved around Murcian cuisine and pastry, and in which the chef participated Murcia Murcia Gonzalez-Conejero.
These forums will offer an x-ray of the different sectors related to the world of gastronomy and in them new approaches will be made to promote gastronomic projects.
With the conclusions and ideas of the participants of each day, reports will be written to improve the positioning of Murcia as a gastronomic tourist destination.
This I Forum of Ideas has been attended by professionals from the Murcian regional cuisine and pastry sector, as well as from the Professional Association of Baker Entrepreneurs, Cultural Association of Chiefs of Cuisine of the Region of Murcia (Jecomur), Euro-Toques and Federation Regional of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs (Hostemur).
Representatives of the Public Administration and the coordinator of the Central Office of the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy, Joaquín Reyes, also participated.
Sommeliers and room managers at the II Forum of Ideas
Over the next few weeks, the headquarters of the Gastronomic Capital will host four other Ideas Forums.
Specifically, the next day will be held on January 27 and sommeliers and room managers will participate in it.
The III Forum of Ideas will take place on February 3, with tourism professionals, the IV will be held on February 10, with experts in training, in which hospitality schools, trainers, gastronomy teachers, etc., will participate. V Forum of Ideas will take place on February 17, with the presence of representatives of the business sector.

The grand opening of the headquarters of 'Murcia, Spanish Capital of Gastronomy' will be held this Sunday, January 26, in Romea Square, in an event in which invited artists of national and international prestige will participate.
Open 365 days a year
The central office of Murcia Capital Gastronomic opens every day of the year, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., extending its schedule depending on the events hosted by the office.
