The Councilor for Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, and the Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, have visited Zeneta this week where the City Council is adapting a place that will host the new 24-hour study hall of the district.
These facilities will offer next spring around 30 study posts in an area close to 50 square meters.
The room will be open for 365 days, 24 hours, and will have an Internet connection via Wi-Fi.
The service will be monitored by the Integrated Internet Access Control System that will control the inputs and outputs, perform live surveillance, control fire alarms, regulate the lighting on and off, control the operating cycle between cooling and heating and collects the SOS panic button signal.
The objective is to offer an adequate space for the development of academic activities, regulated or not, offering the necessary comfort so that students can assimilate in a quiet environment and with the essential concentration.
The 24-hour study rooms are part of the services to the citizens of the Municipal Library Network of Murcia and the execution of the works follows the general program of needs written from it.
This project is included in the Extraordinary Plan of Investments in Pedanías coordinated by the Department of Pedanías and Barrios, directed by Marco Antonio Fernández, and whose equipment, access control management, commissioning and maintenance will be carried out from the Municipal Library Network , directed by councilwoman Mercedes Bernabé.
The works are being carried out by Construcciones Juan Gregorio SL, with an investment of 67,124 euros.
