The University of Murcia has signed on Thursday the general protocol of action whereby the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) joins the activities of the UMU-Emuasa Water and Sustainability Chair.
This protocol will allow to establish the channels for the realization in common of actions of advice, investigation and training that result in the improvement of the water management.
The agreement has been signed by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján;
the president of the CHS, Mario Urrea;
and Rafael Gómez, managing director of Emuasa.
The Chair of Water and Sustainability aims to create a space dedicated entirely to research, training and dissemination in the field of integrated water resources management and environmental sustainability from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Professor María Teresa Navarro, director of the Chair, has detailed the important work carried out during four years in which research in the field of water management and dissemination to society, and the sectors involved, have been enhanced. importance of better resource management and its impact on climate change.
The CHS has actively participated in the actions of the Chair of Water and Sustainability since its creation and this protocol provides the framework for this collaboration to be permanent.
The rector has expressed his gratitude to the CHS for their trust and involvement in the project.
