Councilors Antonio Benito and Esther Nevado, who have offered a press conference to analyze the situation of the 7 schools and the 8 conciliation centers, affirm that the management of the government team is marked by "the capitalism of friends"
The councilors of the Municipal Socialist Group Antonio Benito and Esther Nevado have offered this morning a press conference to denounce the policy of the PP regarding children's educational resources, since since the PSOE ceased to govern, not a single public square has been created .
It has opted for conciliation centers "based on the capitalism of friends," said Benito.
It is a management model "ineffective, erroneous, incoherent and wasteful," said the Socialist mayor, who have exposed the situation of the 7 nursery schools, which suffer a significant deterioration, and the 8 reconciliation centers, managed privately although built on municipal land, which do not meet the committed requirements of serving children with social needs or conciliation.
"Murcia do not win anything with these centers despite what it has cost us and continues to cost us because we pay in many cases repairs, electricity and water, while we have had the children of La Paz in an infaruary," said Nevado .
For his part, Benito recalled the next reopening of the La Paz school demolished 13 years ago, during which the children have been in barracks, by decision of the PP and wanted to congratulate fathers and mothers, as well as the neighbors of the neighborhood for the recovery of this nursery that returns to open its doors thanks to its struggle.
He has criticized that this is the example of the "chaotic management of nursery schools by the PP, which leads him to celebrate the reopening of La Paz as a success."
"But this nursery is the tip of the iceberg of municipal schools; for example, this course students from Algezares were transferred to El Palmar, despite the opposition of parents, and half of the children have stopped go. We are going to present a motion for classrooms to be set up at Saavedra Fajardo and Algezares school to have their school again, "said the councilor.
In addition, in the case of Beniaján, it was discovered this summer that the baby pavilion was not habitable, so "the children have been in dangerous conditions, and as a solution they are transferred to a conciliation center, built in municipal land, and we are paying 140 euros per child, that is, market price, and above we put the teaching staff ".
Benito points out that "we are waiting for the report of the situation of the four remaining schools and that they are supposed to be healthy."
For its part, Esther Nevado indicates that the 8 conciliation centers have a capacity for 1,200 students, according to the City Council website.
"They were supposed to offer standard rates, but this is not the case, and special prices for families derived by Social Services, and we found that 67 children have been treated in centers that cost 3.5 million euros, in addition to they have granted only two dining scholarships among the 5 centers built on municipal land. "
He adds that "the rates of these centers are the same as any private nursery" and, to top it off, "they do not allow reconciliation because they should open in the afternoon and only three comply, so no one benefits, nor families in one vulnerable situation or those who want to reconcile work and personal life, "said the councilor.
