The City Council, through the Department of Education and Infantile Schools, directed by Belén López, has collaborated one more year with the AMPAS in organizing the Christmas Schools for schoolchildren in the municipality.

1,000 children have participated in the schools during the holiday period, which lasted between December 23 and January 3.

A total of 33 Christmas schools have been organized in 22 public educational centers in the municipality.

"In this way, resources are optimized, social relations between schoolchildren in different schools are promoted, in addition to offering families a complementary service during the period of school break," said Councilwoman Belén López.

For the transfer and organization of centers during the holidays, the Department informs the centers of the need to communicate to the Service the organization of the Christmas Schools in order to know the schools that are going to carry out the activity and be able to coordinate the cleaning and maintenance services, with which schools are provided during their implementation.

Likewise, this service allows to optimize the resources necessary for the development of the activity, such as cleaning or surveillance, to improve the organization of maintenance tasks, as well as to favor social relations between the different educational centers, thus generating spaces for coexistence and participation.

The Christmas Schools have been developed in a total of 22 educational centers in the municipality: CEIP Nuestra Señora de la Arrixaca de Murcia, CEIP Torreteatinos El Raal, CEIP Luis Costa de Murcia, CEIP José Moreno of the Barrio del Progreso, CEIP El Molinico de La Pool, CEIP Santiago el Mayor, CEIP María Maroto de Murcia, CEIP Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente de Murcia, CEIP Ángel Zapata de Torreagüera, CEIP Santiago García Mendel Era Alta, CEIP Pintor Pedro Cano de El Palmar, CEIP Gloria Fuertes de El Palmar , CEIP San Pablo de Murcia, CEIP Sculptor González Moreno de Aljucer, CEIP Francisco Noguera de San José de la Vega, CEIP San Félix de Zarandona, CEIP Federico de Arce de Murcia, CEIP Mariano Aroca de Murcia, CEIP Maestro José Castaño de Murcia, CEIP Virgin of Guadalupe, CEIP Vicente Medina of Orilla del Azarbe, CEIP Our Lady of the Angels of El Esparragal.
