The Coordinator of the United Left-Greens in the municipality of Murcia, Alicia Martínez, today held a meeting with the media to take stock of the political activity of the leftist formation during 2019 and to present the lines of the political project of IU-Greens in the immediate future.
Martínez has highlighted the contribution of Cambiemos Murcia, of which IU-Verdes was part, as “a municipal political experience of enormous wealth and a place of meeting and work characterized by the integration of its members in a common, exciting and efficient work†.
The Coordinator has taken the blow that was the electoral result of last May for this organization as part of that experience that, however, "does not invalidate the ability to bring the policy closer to the reality of the people and take it to the institutions, so that they are not disconnected realities, as happens with the hall policy â€.
Among the concerns of IU-Greens of the municipality of Murcia is the feeling of living “in a municipality of lights and fireworks†that postpones indefinitely the solution to structural problems of Murcia, among which an adapted mobility model is urgently needed to the characteristics of our municipality, to avoid problems that we already see in other cities.
The cultural and artistic potential of our municipality is a value to discover.
"The betting house model cannot be imposed on cultural, artistic, sports centers of interest," according to Alicia Martínez.
Finally, he stressed the importance of creating a friendly city for Murcia youth, because "they are our future and will be heirs of the present that we are able to build."
A fundamental task, in view of the national political reality, will be "to continue learning to work in common with those of us who have common concerns and proposals, not necessarily identical, but enough to advance the caravan."
