'lamadredelascooperatives' (LACOOOP) will ask those responsible for Housing in Murcia municipalities that have more than 50,000 inhabitants

The objective of the survey is to know what measures and policies they will undertake during this year to promote access to housing

Knowing the relevance that Municipal Land Policies have in the offer and access to housing, and in the real estate sector, 'lamadredelascooperatives' has launched the first national survey to know, and make public, what are the measures and plans that the Town Halls will carry out this year in this matter.

Under the name of 'LACOOOPTransparency', those responsible for housing in those municipalities of Murcia with more than 50,000 inhabitants will be asked what are the measures and policies that will be carried out during 2020 to promote access to housing.

According to Augusto Abril, founder of LACOOOP, "the objective is to quantify the municipalities' commitment to housing through the plans and strategies they will develop next year beyond the mere promotion of VPO housing."

In order to know these measures, 'lamadredelascooperatives' will send a closed, unique and equal questionnaire for all the surveyed municipalities.

"It's about avoiding rhetorical responses by looking for quantifiable answers that allow for comparison between municipalities in a segmented way," April explains.

Thus, a list of Transparent Municipalities will be prepared according to the results and responses obtained by the Municipalities.

The questions asked in the survey will allow valuing different aspects such as strategies and tactics aimed at promoting access to housing;

if they are public and disclosed;

how much soil is going to be released;

if the policies are segmented taking into account the sociodemographic groups of the populations and how they do it (social housing, protected housing, free housing);

what mechanics are they going to use for the land supply (contest vs. auction), or if there are concrete policies to boost cooperatives at the municipal and regional level.
