The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, along with the Councilor for Social Rights and Family, Pilar Torres, the Senior, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Prez, and the person responsible for social mobilization of Save The Children, Juan Guill, He presented this morning the solidarity race in favor of the NGO Save The Children, which is organized by the CEI school and will take place on February 9, starting at 10 am
The educational center celebrates for the fifth year the test that belongs to the Running Challenge of the Famu.
On this occasion, the race will have a wider route taking advantage of the new garden areas offered by Murcia Ro.
"Through these initiatives, the residents of the municipality can improve their quality of life by playing sports, in addition to spending a day with family and friends. It is about uniting sports and leisure in a different and fun way," explains Councilman Felipe Coello
This urban Cross last year mobilized more than 1,000 runners of all ages.
Registrations can be made through the web career.colegiocei.es and have a price that ranges between 11 euros for the scoring test of the Running and 3 euros for children's modalities.
There is also the possibility of collaborating with the association without participating in the race through the 10 euros solidarity race number.
The funds raised from the registration go entirely to the NGO Save The Children, which works for children to build a better future and provide opportunities for all children.
Councilwoman Pilar Torres highlights the work of associations and educational centers for positively contributing to children to improve their attention, protection and active participation in solidarity actions.
The race route takes place in the Paseo del Malecn, gardens and the new area of Murcia Ro, in the 10 km and 5 km modalities, children's races and many other activities.
“The sport implies many values, so tests like these make people of all ages get involved for the same cause, solidarity.
Helping other people while improving our physical state, ”says Paqui Prez.
About 6,000 euros in 2019
The CEI school raised a total of 5,755.60 euros for the solidarity race held in 2019. A few days ago the educational center delivered the solidarity check to the Save The Children association, which works for children.
