The Department of Sports and Health maintains its support to associations and NGOs for the development of assistance and reintegration activities of drug addicts, within the framework of the Municipal Drug Plan, which includes among its objectives the need to serve people who consume these substances, with special emphasis on alcohol and tobacco, and support existing organizations that address this issue.

Thus, this council, directed by Felipe Coello, has awarded a global grant of 36,000 euros to Alfamur, Solidarity and Reintegration Foundation (Proyecto Hombre) and Fundación Diagrama.

With these grants, the City Council consolidates its collaboration with these entities to respond to the incidence of drug dependence on the population and its relationship with certain lifestyles, especially legal drugs, their consumption patterns and access to them. age increasingly early.

In this context, the municipal collaboration will be aimed at supporting ALFAMUR (Association of alcoholics and family members) in the development of its program of rehabilitation, counseling and psychological assistance to alcoholics and family members, as well as informing entrepreneurs and educators, workers and students about alcohol and its consequences and modes of action in cases of alcoholism.

With this objective, the association will receive a grant of 4,000 euros.

For its part, the Solidarity and Reintegration Foundation (Murcia Man Project) will have a grant of 20,000 euros for its psychosocial reintegration program for people with addiction problems.

With this plan, the entity works to promote the social, labor and family insertion or normalization of the users, as well as achieve a lifestyle that leads to personal autonomy, maintaining abstinence and being able to make decisions in a consistent manner and consistent with the established personal life plan;

Fundación Diagrama will also receive municipal assistance, in this case for an amount of 12,000 euros, which will be used to finance the catering service for users of the Heliotropos Day Center, which provides morning and afternoon service, and offers treatment therapeutic to people with problems of addiction to substances, within its objective of favoring the learning of instrumental and behavioral skills at the table, developing their personal and social autonomy and encouraging the acquisition of healthy habits.
