The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, has visited Los Ramos this morning, districts where the Service of Parks and Gardens works on the creation of a new garden inspired by the Murcian garden and the Andalusian gardens.
This new green area located in the Vereda del Chocolate, whose work is being carried out at a good pace, which will allow residents to enjoy it next month, according to forecasts.
The new space, of 1,100 square meters, is being carried out on a municipal plot and is designed by the Murcian sculptor Pepe Hernández has been in charge of its design, together with the municipal technicians of the Department of Urban Development, granting this space values ​​and idiosyncrasy of the garden and inspired by the Andalusian gardens.
The garden will also have a fountain with a sculpture by the Murcian artist.
"With this important action, the residents of Los Ramos can enjoy a new area of ​​coexistence and enjoyment that, in addition, can be used as a living area for pedestrians and cyclists who use the Greenway as it is part of it", has indicated Guillen
The design of the garden values ​​the ditches of the Murcian garden and has an arch in honor of the Virgen de las Huertas.
It will also simulate a palm-shaped oasis in the middle of the Greenway, thanks to its vegetation, housing new trees and shrub species, such as Phoenix dactylifera palm trees, orange trees, garden plums, clams, garden vanilla or heliotropes, bells, lavenders and Lantanas
This action is linked to water and is told through its ditches and hydraulic infrastructures, palm trees and fruit trees.
The little ones will enjoy a play area with more modern and didactic elements, where a tower with slide and climb stands out.
The environment will be fenced and will also have a living area with multiple banks.
The works of the new garden began last November with the excavation and removal of the disintegrated land and, subsequently, the execution of networks of public lighting, paving and paving of the residential areas and development of the irrigation network has continued.
The work is being carried out by JT Public Works and Services, within a period of four months and with a budget of 112,000 euros (VAT included).
This project is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, which develops the Department of Pedanías and Barrios in coordination with the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration.
