José Ballesta: "Solidarity and generosity are two characteristics that define Murcia and that we see today represented in this symbolic delivery, because the children of Murcia have donated more than 4,000 toys this Christmas".
The Solidarity Point, guarded by the Royal Page in the Christmas Tree of Murcia, will remain open until Sunday morning.
The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, and the Councilor for Social and Family Rights, Pilar Torres, made this morning a symbolic delivery of the toys that have been donated by the boys and girls who have participated in the activities organized in the great Christmas Tree of Murcia.

Cáritas, the Educa Association, the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, the Fundación CEPAIM and Accem are the entities that will receive all the donated toys, which will distribute them to the little ones that need them most.

The Great Christmas Tree of the Circular Square has welcomed different solidarity initiatives, such as the collection of toys held last Sunday by Regional Wave, in which all proceeds were also allocated to the aforementioned associations.
In this context, the City of Murcia highlights and appreciates the important work of the people and groups that work every year so that no child is left without their gift from Reyes, as well as the great work they do throughout the year, protecting the child vulnerable.
The free workshops of the Christmas Tree of Murcia will last until Sunday, from 11.30 to 14 hours.
