From tomorrow, January 1, and in order to boost the service and encourage the use of Murcia, Tram of Murcia modifies its schedules improving frequencies during peak hours on weekdays and expands the segment of rush hour, as well as the commercial service both Fridays and Sundays and holidays.
In this way, the working hours the extended frequency segment is extended in the hours of greatest demand.
On Saturdays, the approximate 18-minute pass frequency is maintained between 09:00 (departure time from the New Condomina Stadium stop) and 10:30 p.m., improving the amplitude of this frequency, which previously ended at 9 p.m. :30 hours.
In addition, the schedule is extended on Sundays and holidays until 23:00, departure hours of the last service from the New Condomina Stadium stop.
It was previously produced at 10:30 p.m.
The approximate frequency of 20 minutes will remain from 10:00 (departure time from the New Condomina Stadium stop), until 20:00 hours, improving in one hour the amplitude of this frequency, which previously reached until 19: 00 hours
The last services from Estadio Nueva Condomina terminal, and throughout the year, will be at 23:00 hours from Sunday to Thursday.
Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of holidays at 00:00.
During the month of August, the following improvements have been established:
On weekdays, the service is improved by maintaining a continuous 15-minute rush hour from the first hour until 9:30 p.m.
On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in August, the frequency in "rush hour" is 20 minutes.
In addition, the proposal for the Shuttle service (Los Rectores / Terra Natura - UCAM / Los Jerónimos) maintains the same initial philosophy of adapting the service with the objective of minimizing transfer waiting times between the main service and the shuttle.
Thus, a continuous rush hour is established throughout the service, adapting the frequency to improve transfers between the main trunk and the shuttle.
In working hours, this frequency will be 20-25 minutes, adapting the departure times of the Los Rectores - Terra Natura and UCAM - Los Jerónimos terminals, taking into account the demand of the service users.
The last departure from Los Rectores - Terra Natura to UCAM - Los Jerónimos starts at 22:05 hours from Sunday to Thursday, at 22:35 hours on Fridays and on the eve of holidays and at 22:43 hours on Saturdays.
On the contrary, from UCAM - Los Jerónimos, at 22:24 hours from Sunday to Thursday and at 22:55 hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and holidays on the eve of holidays.
With these improvements, environmental sustainability is enhanced by making it easier for citizens to use the tram.
