The Teatro Circo Murcia (TCM) receives this week the Granada-based company Puppets Etcetera, directed by Enrique Lanz, to stage his applauded show 'Dreaming the carnival of animals'.
In total, four performances of this theatrical concert are scheduled to take place on January 2 and 3, at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
'Dreaming the carnival of animals' is one of the most successful creations of Etcétera, winner of the National Award for Performing Arts for Children and Youth in 2014. The work was a co-production of Etcétera with the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona ), and since its premiere it has been touring important international festivals and numerous stages throughout the country.
Created from the musical works 'Prelude to the nap of a faun', by Claude Debussy, and 'The carnival of animals', by Camille Saint-Saëns, 'Dreaming the carnival of animals' is considered one of the Great productions for children in recent years and are backed by excellent reviews.
Enrique Lanz, its author and creator, manages to immerse the spectators in a magical atmosphere, proposing a concert invaded by humor and poetry, by animals that arise from music and by eleven musicians that in addition to playing, run and play for all the scene.
On stage, creations as spectacular as a 12-meter-long Rex Tyrannosaurus, a 3-meter-tall African elephant, a giant tortoise walking a musician in its shell or an aquarium across the stage that will give the audience a feeling of Be really submerged in the sea.
The union of live music and the puppet fantasy will give away moments of beauty, magic and emotion in a large work created especially for the family audience.
'Dreaming the carnival of animals' lasts approximately 50 minutes and is recommended for children from three years.
Puppets Etcétera returns to the Teatro Circo Murcia with this show after having presented on the municipal stage two of his previous creations: 'The brave little tailor' and 'Pedro and the wolf'.
Also, 'Dreaming the carnival of animals' could be seen last year at the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia next to the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.
