37 taxi drivers receive a subsidy to keep their vehicles adapted (27/12/2019)

The Governing Board has approved the grant to autotaxis drivers with the aim of improving the accessibility of public transport in the municipality and offering people with disabilities adapted vehicles.

Thus, aid has been approved for an amount of 154,672.30 euros to a total of 37 taxi drivers with vehicles adapted to finance increases in operating costs, such as fuel consumption, ramp repair cost, safety harness and wheel change , as well as the obligatory repair and insurance services of travelers

With this agreement, the Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, directed by Rebeca Pérez, intends to implement increasingly accessible public transport services, since this increases the autonomy of people with reduced mobility and enables more efficient transport and useful, while guaranteeing universality, accessibility and quality in the provision of this service.
