The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, and the director of the newspaper La Verdad, Alberto Aguirre, presented this morning the Carrera San Silvestre 2019, which will be held next Tuesday, December 31, at 5pm

Currently, more than 3,000 brokers have already registered.
In total, 2,000 euros raised in this sporting event will be allocated to the Murcian Association of Parents and Children with Spina Bifida (AMUPHEB).
This presentation was also attended by representatives of the different sponsors and collaborators of the race, as well as the general director of Sports, Francisco Javier Sánchez, and the president of the Murcian Association of Parents and Children with Spina Bifida (AMUPHEB), Carmen Gil.
Originality Award
The race has been organized by the City of Murcia in collaboration with the newspaper La Verdad and the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia.
The absolute test will start at 5:00 pm, on a 6,500-meter route with departure and finish at Teniente Flomesta Avenue, in front of the City of Murcia.
The race can also be done on skates.
Trophies will be awarded to the first three classified in the general test, in the male and female category, in addition to prizes for the three most original costumes in the individual or couples section, and for the three best group costumes, which must be at least 3 people.
To qualify for the prizes of individual and group costumes, those interested must go through the 'photocall' of the stage before 4:45 p.m.
The registration period with the runner's bag and shirt, of 11 euros, will remain open until Monday 23, at 11:30 p.m.
Athletes born in 2007 and earlier may participate in this great sporting event, and all those under 16 must present parental authorization at the time of the collection of the bib.
Subsequently, a new registration period will be opened in person, from December 27 to December 30, within the time established for the delivery of bibs, in the same place of delivery.
The numbers may be collected the days before the race in the Prince of Asturias Pavilion, on Friday 27 and Saturday 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., as well as Sunday 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. hours, and on Monday 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., it is essential to show the ID or identity document.
