The City of Murcia, Ferrovial Servicios and Ecoembes have held another year the Christmas contest for recycling drawing.
About 16,000 children in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade of 138 centers in the municipality of Murcia have contributed their creativity and ideas on how to recycle correctly.
The schools of the municipality received a few weeks ago a message from Lili, the smallest Ecoelfa in the Santa Claus workshop, in which he explained to the little ones that, due to the amount of waste generated at this time, he needs Eco-helpers who help you properly recycle everything this Christmas.
For that, he asked the students to put their best recycling tips on a sheet.
Among the 16,000 drawings received, 12 have been the winners of this edition of the contest, which today have received their prize from Rebeca Pérez, Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth and Immaculate Palazon of Ferrovial Services.
The drawings illustrate the months of the calendar year of Murcia Sustainable City.
The awards ceremony, which has had the journalist Lorena Vera as a presenter, has started with a recycling workshop in which the little ones have enjoyed creating their own ecovaritas.
The event has also had the presence of Lili la Ecoelfa who has given the winners their bicycles, and explained to the attendees the importance of depositing the briks, cans and plastic containers in the yellow container to get cleaner air.
To achieve a more sustainable Christmas, Lili will be until January 3 at the Glorieta de Murcia raising awareness and informing about the importance of recycling correctly.
The little ones will launch their creativity by participating in their workshops, creating Christmas decorations and postcards with recycled materials.
They can also play ecobolos, recepasket and three in line with recycling.
