Four educational centers in the municipality of Murcia are recognized as Reference Centers in Education on Children's Rights and Global Citizenship by Unicef ​​Spanish Committee.
The Councilor for Education and Infantile Schools, Belén López, has attended the event that took place this morning at the IES Licensed Francisco Cascales de Murcia, chaired by the director general of Educational Innovation and Attention to Diversity, Carlos Albaladejo, and the president of Unicef ​​Murcia Committee, Amparo Marzal.
Specifically, six centers are recognized in the Region of Murcia with validity for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 courses;
Bishops García-Ródenas de Bullas, Our Lady of the Remedies of Albudeite, as well as Andrés Baquero, La Arboleda, María Maroto and the IES Licensed Francisco Cascales, these last four belonging to the municipality of Murcia.
The initiative aims to promote and recognize the efforts of these educational centers to carry out long-term global citizenship projects, as well as actions that promote permanent improvement and educational innovation in Children's Rights.
"We are very proud of this recognition because it shows that the school is a safe environment for learning, values ​​and knowledge, and participation," said the Councilor for Education and Schools, Belén López.
The ceremony also attended representatives of other educational centers that are in the process of becoming referents, as well as representatives of recognized municipalities, among other institutions and personalities.
After the delivery of diplomas, the choir of Students of the IES Licensed Francisco Cascales has acted.
In this way, the Region of Murcia has six centers recognized as Reference Centers in Education in Children's Rights and Global Citizenship, which are part of the 109 distinguished throughout the Spanish territory, in this third call.
