The motion also insists on the need, while the work is being carried out, that the session urges the Ministry to undertake the necessary arrangements in the current building, guaranteeing the safety of the students.
The Socialist and Podemos-Equo groups will take next week to the ordinary Plenary session of December a joint motion that seeks to respond to the demand of the students of Dance and Dramatic Arts, whose studies are taught in a building that suffers from the minimum conditions of security.
It is a demand that has been dragging on for years and that "has been answered with lies and false promises."
Both municipal groups will put on the table the abandonment to which these students are being submitted both by the Ministry of Education, mainly responsible for their situation, and by the City of Murcia, necessary collaborator to move forward the new building.
Although the Murcia Consistory intends to transfer the site for the construction of the new facilities that will host the Superior Conservatory of Dance in the northern part of the city, with the motion that PSOE and Podemos-Equo will take to the next plenary, the support of the Corporation so that these lands are transferred in the southern zone.
The reasons, according to the text, are that this area, on the one hand, will be better communicated once the underground and the rehabilitation of the spaces are finished, taking into account that the students come from all points of the Region and must facilitate communication with the study center.
On the other, he insists on the need for the south of the city to be taken into account again.
"In the next few years the city of Murcia will be transformed thanks to the great work of the Underground train tracks and the creation of an exchanger at the El Carmen train station. Our two political groups believe that the future more Immediately it goes through the integration of the south of Murcia, so we see it sensible that in order to achieve a more balanced city model, this service area will be provided as the one that the Conservatory of Dance can provide ".
It is, therefore, to place a regional center, such as this one, in the best communicated area and, at the same time, balance the municipality by integrating the culture of the municipality to the south.
With this statement of reasons, both groups will ask the Plenary that the City Council of Murcia commits to transfer to the Ministry of Education the land for the construction of the new center in the southern part of the city.
Also, that the Consistory request the Ministry to urgently undertake the necessary rehabilitation works in the current building so that students can receive their classes safely.
