The Councilor for Sustainable Development and Huerta, Antonio Navarro, has criticized that “again in Huermur they are in tow.

Navarro explained that "from the City Council we have promoted a basic project and implementation of conditioning of the environment of the monument that seeks to move away the Wheel of La Ă‘ora from the current road extending its protection and adapting a pedestrian perimeter of the monument."
This adaptation includes the reorganization of public space (road, sidewalks and garden areas), the creation of an area of ​​urban and landscape quality around the Wheel that favors better enjoyment and understanding and better integration with the present and future structure of roads and paths of the Huerta de Murcia and its landscape and cultural values.
Another singular action will be, said the councilor, "uncover ditches, since one of the main objectives of the project is to make visible and value the knot of ditches that occurs in this environment."
In this way, the Rueda de La Ă‘ora will be valued by improving its surroundings through intervention in the immediate public space such as pavements, roads and gardens.
“This monument constitutes an enclave of enormous patrimonial wealth, in addition to the singularity that constitutes a main node of the irrigation network, so from the City Council we will work, in the field of our competences, in its maintenance and conservation” Navarro has finished .
