The 17 students of the All We Are Campus initiative, accompanied by a professor from the University of Murcia and two technicians, have visited the Regional Assembly today, where they have had occasion to know their facilities as well as the importance of the regional legislative chamber.
In the Assembly they have been received by representatives of various parties, as well as by the president of the Assembly Alberto Castillo.
The We are all campus program, co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative through the call for grants from the ONCE Foundation, allows these young people to train at the University and prepare to get a job.
The training program takes place between October 2019 and June 2020. During those months, 17 young people with intellectual disabilities between the ages of 18 and 30 are incorporated into university classrooms through the construction of comprehensive, accessible and personalized training itineraries. .
For the UMU, it means establishing an inclusive training and standardization system in the university community environment.
The program includes support from technical and administrative staff of the Employment Guidance and Information Center (COIE) and the Diversity and Volunteer Service (ADyV) of the University of Murcia.
