The Government Board has given the green light to the specifications to contract the maintenance and maintenance service in public schools in Murcia.

In this way, the Department of Education and Infant School will invest a maximum of 266,627 euros, for a period of two years, to maintain the public centers of Infant, Primary and Special Education of the urban area since those located in districts are responsible for Municipal Boards

The purpose of the contract is the performance of all repair, replacement, replacement or maintenance work in public schools dependent on the City of Murcia located in the urban area of ​​the city as well as future extensions that during the term of the contract can perform the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

The contractor will be responsible for performing the following work:

- Plumbing: Repair and replacement of water networks, landslides, replacement of sanitary parts, replacement of parts, repair and installation of drinking fountains, construction of caskets and wells, replacement of taps and replacement of downspouts.

- Carpentry: Repair or replacement of doors and repair or replacement of hanging hardware and security.

- Locksmith: repair of fences, repair of doors and metal windows, placement of doors and windows, placement of security doors, and repair or replacement of locks.

- Paint: paint walls and ceilings, paint wood and metal carpentry, and waterproof leak areas.

- Masonry: cleaning of roofs and terraces, replacement of sinks and downspouts, construction of block walls, tiling baseboards, toilets and kitchens, construction of interior and exterior flooring, plastering walls and ceilings, placing plasterboard, repair of roofs, installation of curb , concrete slabs, construction of scuppers, plucking and placing wooden or metal fences and concrete repair.

To this amount are added the largest works that are carried out in holiday periods in order to guarantee the good condition of the educational centers.

Thus, last summer 717,000 euros were invested to reform and improve 22 educational centers.
