The University of Murcia, within the framework of the Erasmus + Sport Students as Mentors (SSaMs) project, celebrates next Monday, December 2, the day 'Mentoring for the prevention of early school leaving through sport', which will take place in the auditorium of the Luis Vives building on the Espinardo campus after 4 pm.
During the day, the results of the project will be presented, which began in 2017 and ends on December 30 of this year.
SSaMses an association of the Erasmus + program in which the UMUtraves from the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization participates, and is coordinated by the University of Gloucestershire (United Kingdom).
The project consortium is also made up of the Institute of Technology Carlow (Ireland), University of Thessaly (Greece), PalackĂ˝ University Olomouc (Czech Republic) and the European Studi and Iniziative Center of Palermo (Italy).
The fundamental objective of SSaMses is the training of students of the degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences with mentoring strategies, in order to improve the educational use of children and young people for the prevention of early abandonment of the educational system.
