The Governing Board has approved the specifications to contract the Service of socio-educational intervention with adolescents at risk of social exclusion, between 13 and 17 years, whose objective is to provide support to adolescents with whom an intervention process is being carried out through the Municipal Social Services Centers.
To address the needs of adolescents, the Municipal Social Services Service started this project in June 2017 with the aim of generating specific reference contexts for adolescents, from which to respond to their demands and needs and those of their families constituting a network of educational resources as a means to prevent situations of risk or exclusion in which they may be immersed.
The actions will be carried out in the neighborhoods and districts determined by the Municipal Social Services Service to provide the adolescents targeted for the project with the resources that make it possible to compensate for their social and educational needs and needs, strengthening their aspirations, influencing aspects of their daily lives, that of his family, being the field of leisure and free time, as well as the formative aspect, indispensable frameworks for the detection and intervention in the problems that affect them.
The winning company, with the guidelines of the Municipal Social Services Service, will adapt the project according to the characteristics of the neighborhoods and the profile and needs of the adolescents where said project is implemented, within the territorial demarcation of the three Social Services Centers : Murcia North Municipal Center, Murcia South Municipal Center and Murcia City Municipal Center.
The objectives are as follows:
- Generate specific reference contexts for adolescents that respond to their needs and demands as well as those of their families, specified within the framework of socio-educational action through a catalog of school, training-labor, socio-cultural and community resources, as a means of acting in those situations of risk in which they may find themselves.
- Design and carry out a program of activities adequate and adapted to the interests and concerns of the people who are the target of this project, with contents of teamwork, positive interpersonal relationships, participation and prominence, as well as education in values ​​(coexistence and tolerance , respect for the environment, cultural diversity, education for peace, solidarity, gender equality, health promotion).
The cost for two years of this contract is 1,062,522.16 euros and can be extended for another two years.
Project 13-17 intervened last year in 29 neighborhoods and districts, with 46 groups where 378 adolescents participated, 125 more than in 2017.
The interventions that were carried out were structured in the areas of leisure and free time, health education, values, new technologies, social and cultural participation.
The activities were carried out in two weekly sessions of two hours, in the afternoon and a third session (Friday or Saturday) where intergroup activities, outings and attention to fathers and mothers are developed.
