This event allows attendees to publicize the projects that are being carried out and the most innovative solutions for energy saving in Smart Cities.
In addition to generating a debate on barriers, challenges and opportunities in the application of ICTs.
The mayor has met with agents of different technology companies and representatives of different cities in the world of Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Belgium, Malta, Turkey and France.
"Our goal is to seek alliances and solutions to advance our smart city model, for which we have had the opportunity to learn about experiences that are being developed in other cities," said the mayor.
The purpose of this event is to create a meeting point between the most prominent managers and decision-makers of the town halls, as well as the main suppliers of technological solutions for the improvement of energy efficiency and sustainability.
“Promoting a Smart City cannot consist in advancing only in the technological, instrumental and functional.
Therefore, our concept of Smart City is to put these technological advances at the service of people to improve their quality of life and the benefits of the public services they receive, â€explains the mayor.

The ceremony of delivery of the enerTIC Awards 2019 will be on December 12 at the Secretary of State for Digital Advance in Madrid.
Murcia, smart city
The City Council works on the implementation of the Smart City Strategic Plan, through the MiMurcia project.
It is a smart city model, based on participation, citizen care, open government, sustainable mobility and urban quality, and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development goals.
All this will be managed from CEUS (Single Monitoring Center), the nerve center of the smart city that will be located in the Abenarabi building in Murcia and will have a control room and crisis room, from which you can view the municipality as a whole in emergency situations.
“We continue working so that Murcia becomes a city accessible to all citizens, with the best communication channels and adapted to the latest technological developments,†concludes José Guillén.
