José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, will receive this award in New York this morning (Spain time) for his great contribution and social commitment demonstrated through the Catholic University in favor of education.
The award will be presented in the context of the New York Summit 2019, an event organized by the Inspiring Committed Leaders Foundation (ICLF), and that is the largest Spanish-speaking event held in the New York city.
Among the winners are also prominent personalities and institutions from different fields such as Real Madrid CF, Ndaba Mandela, grandson of former South African president Nelson Mandela;
the pilot Fernando Alonso;
Rigoberta Menchu, Guatemalan indigenous leader and human rights defender;
the humorist Carlos Latre, and the mountaineer and presenter Jesús Calleja, among others.
