Santo Domingo Square and Basabé Street will host a program of activities and different exhibitions tomorrow Saturday and Sunday to publicize the 170th anniversary of the Burial of the Sardine that will be celebrated in 2020, thanks to the collaboration between the City of Murcia and the Sardinera group.
During both days two sardineras floats will be shown that can be visited, models of the catafalks of previous years, Cabezudos del Entierro with which visitors can interact, 'ducks' and 'pitos' (elements that participate in the parade's header) and a photocall.
In addition, the little ones will be presented with toys and other gifts, thanks to the collaboration of the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia, and will have different activities specially designed for them.
On Saturday, the storyteller 'The traveling storyteller' (12 hours), juggling and games (13 hours) and dance workshops and pintacaras (17 hours) will take place.
On Sunday there will also be a storyteller (12 hours) and globoflexia (13 hours).
Also, from 12 to 14 hours, both Saturday and Sunday, workshops and crafts will be held with the main theme of 'La Sardina' where children can develop bookmarks, puppets, pendants, sardines ...
