Pérez: "The works in the offices of the PSOE have cost 26,000 euros" (13/11/2019)

The spokeswoman for the Municipal Municipal Group, Rebeca Pérez, has criticized the PSOE for "always falling into cheap demagogy."

Pérez has indicated that “in the PSOE they intentionally omit the works carried out in the space they occupy on the second floor of the La Glorieta buildingâ€.

The councilor has continued explaining that "the cost of the works carried out in the offices occupied by the municipal groups, including the PSOE, has involved an investment of 26,000 euros."

"In addition, the work of the Mayor's Office has been developed in administrative positions and not in the office of the Mayor," said the spokeswoman.

Pérez has insisted that "this Government Team does not do works on a whim, but rather they are based on technical criteria and strictly necessary actions are carried out."

On accessibility in public buildings, the councilor has stressed that “one of the main lines we work on is to make Murcia a more accessible city.

Anyway, in the PSOE they speak of only three municipal properties of the nearly 300 that exist. â€

About Saavedra Fajardo the spokeswoman has indicated that "we have just acquired the property where 'El Candil' was located to install a 100% accessible office there."

As for the El Palmar library, "we are working to move it to the New School building."

Finally, the customer service of the Statistics Building of Puerta Nueva is located on the ground floor that is 100% accessible â€.

Pérez has finished reminding the PSOE that “Murcia is the Reina Letizia Universal Accessibility Award.

We have an Accessibility Plan that includes 70 objectives and more than 300 actions that range from infrastructure to the world of culture or sport, with a budget of 4.5 million euros. â€

“We have already implemented different actions, including the system for blind people in public transport, thanks to which the urban bus fleet of Murcia has become the first in Spain to be accessible through a new system for the disabled visual, also implanted in the tram.

The first smart pedestrian crossings in the city and districts have also been installed, which facilitate the autonomy of blind people. â€

Likewise, “we have created inclusive playgrounds, all the works that are carried out on sidewalks, streets and public buildings include the improvement in accessibility and the Circus Theater is the first in Spain that implements the intelligent accessibility system through mobile phones.

All these are not assumptions are real facts, so no one can say that we do not work for accessibility in our municipality, â€said the spokeswoman.
