In the early hours of November 11, 1918, in a train car in the Compiègne forest, representatives of the Allied powers signed the armistice with Germany.
On November 12, 2019, the students of the Lycée français international de Murcia have celebrated this end of the great war that for the first time involved all the great powers of the world.
The institutional act has been attended by the Consul General of France Cédric Prieto and the president of the French Union of Resident Fighters in Spain Jean-Michel Oranger.
The students have previously been able to know the most important facts of this contest and then present a tribute to the fallen soldiers and the importance of this historical event.
Poems and songs have preceded the national anthems of Spain, France and the European Union.
