In 2015, the United Nations approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) and 169 goals.

The Agenda is an action plan that commits all governments and all people to act so that, in 2030, human rights become a reality for all people.

From these approaches, Rights Week 2019 focuses on a fundamental value for development, coexistence and social peace: respect, to contribute to the "development of fair, peaceful and inclusive societies", objective 16 of the SDG.

Within the programming of this Week there is also space for the cinema.

The Regional Film Library will host the screening of the movie 'Wonder' (November 13 at 4:30 p.m.), 'Wall-e' (November 18 at 4:30 p.m.) and 'Born in Syria' (November 18 at 20.30 hours).

Admission is free with invitation.

On Sunday, November 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., it will be the turn of the Children's Party for Children's Rights.

The Silk Garden will host various workshops organized by childhood associations that collaborate in the Week, a climbing wall and various entertainment and performances by children of the associations.

On Wednesday the 20th at 10 am, the Plenary Hall will host the already traditional Children's Plenary in which the little ones exercise for a day as mayor and city councilors.

The program will close a march for the Rights of the Child, leaving from the Barrio de la Paz and ending in Santo Domingo where a manifesto will be read.

It will be Wednesday 20th at 5pm.

The Councilor for Social and Family Rights, Pilar Torres, has indicated that "raising awareness about children's rights is one of the strategies that the City Council of Murcia carries out in order to contribute to improving care, protection and social promotion of childhood and adolescence in the Municipality, encouraging reflection on the participation of children in all those areas in which their life develops.
