The Department of Elderly, Disability and Development Cooperation, through the Housing Service, collaborates with Habito Association showing, in the hall of the municipal building of Abenarabi, the photographic exhibition "The house I want", which will remain open until next November 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This sample aims to show the housing reality of a good number of Murcia families living in homes that do not meet the minimum habitability conditions.
"With this activity, the Habito Association tries to transmit every day that many people who look to the future live with the desire to transform their reality with the basic and essential elements of a habitable, dignified house," explained the mayor responsible Paqui Perez
The Association Habito Murcia develops this type of actions to mitigate this problem and collaborates with the different Public Administrations to develop initiatives in the area of ​​residential exclusion, in addition to working on the incidence and awareness to raise awareness of the need and urgency of giving response to this type of social situations.
This activity is framed in the PARES Program (Accompaniment Program for the Relocation of families in a situation of chronic Social and Residential Exclusion, developed by Habito Association, coordinated by the Ministry of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy and financed by FEDER funds.
