The road that connects Zeneta with Los Ramos will open before the end of the year (11/11/2019)

These emergency works involve an investment of 160,000 euros by the regional government.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Minister of Development and Infrastructure, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, and the Councilor for Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, today supervised the emergency works for the repair of the regional road that links the Murcia neighborhood of Zeneta with the old road of Sucina (RM-F16), in which there was a large sinkhole and the sinking of the firm due to the floods caused by DANA last September.

Of the 90 roads that were cut during the episode of heavy rains that the municipality of Murcia lived, this is the only road that is currently closed and on which traffic will be restored normally, before the end of the year, thanks to an investment of 160,000 euros by the regional government.

The works include the following tasks: cleaning of margins and slopes of variable height, localized excavation for cleaning of slopes, replacement of asphalt agglomerate, demolition of transition slab and reconstruction of the same, as well as replacement and cleaning of existing drainage damaged by floods, among other actions.

It must be remembered that after the rainy episodes the traffic on the F-16 road was cut at the height of the AVE route, so in order to be able to service Zeneta, an alternative route along the San Javier road must be used (RM-301) joining the San Javier highway (RM-1) and back down the highway to reconnect with the Zeneta road (F-16).

Last October, the City Council reinforced bus line 30, which connects Zeneta with Murcia, with four new expeditions.
