The Autonomous Community repairs the regional road that links the Murcian district of Zeneta with the old Sucina road (RM-F16) that suffered structural damage as a result of the effects of the rainy season last September.
The work is part of the 12 actions that are being carried out on regional roads damaged by DANA, whose investment amounts to 1,164,500 euros.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, together with the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, supervised the works of the road, which remains closed to traffic until the sinking of the roadway, which will be completed before End of the year
"The transition slab from the embankment to the bridge has been left without support, so there is a very dangerous point on this road," explained Ten of Revenga.
The repair began last week and includes the cleaning of the slopes, the reconstruction of the slab and the replacement of agglomerate and downspouts.
For the regional government it is a priority to return the four roads that currently remain cut to their previous state because the alternative diversion generates significant discomfort for the residents of Zeneta, Abanilla, Fortuna and Torre Pacheco.
In addition, there are eight critical points in many other ways that, although less serious, require specific actions to recover road safety in Cartagena, Cieza, Lorca, San Javier and Puerto Lumbreras.
In parallel to these actions, the Ministry is drafting the construction projects of another 33 regional roads that have damage due to the damage of the rains.
