The Social Action Platform of the University of Murcia, in collaboration with the Cepaim Foundation and the cultural association AyeKlauwn, organize the second edition of the international congress of performing arts and diversity 'Identity, Transit, Territory and Violence', which will take place from 7 to November 9 in Murcia.
The inauguration will be this Thursday, November 7, in Space 0 of the Párraga Center, at 9.30 am and will be attended, among others, by Juan Antonio Segura, CEO of Fundación Cepaim;
José Luján, rector of the UMU;
and Francisco Javier Jiménez, government delegate in the Region of Murcia.
This congress combines spaces for thought, theory and artistic practice to address such important challenges in our society as the management of diversity, discrimination or inequality.
Within its programming, such relevant and topical issues stand out as virtual identity in the digital age, the territory, internal and external borders, the management of diversity and the incipient violence caused by discrimination.
This edition aims to deepen the identity constructs and relationships in the network of networks, with special concern for the violent phenomena of harassment and cyberbullying or of discriminatory origin, in educational spaces and in the youth population, accentuated by a deficient management of diversity whether functional, cultural or gender.
Among more than forty professionals in the sector, the congress will be attended by the writer Paul B. Preciado, the gallery owner Topacio Fresh, the photographer Fernando Iglesias Mas, the filmmakers Chus Gutiérrez and Valeria Vegas, and the journalist Antonio García Jiménez.
