The City Council, through the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government, directed by Mercedes Bernabé, begins this November to develop the work tables for the design of the Murcia Brand.
The process continues this month with the formation of thematic groups in order to deepen the positioning of the city strategy, thanks to the participation of citizens.
"The purpose of these tables is to discuss the projects, activities and situations of daily life of Murcia, from different sectors and know their values, interests and concerns, aspects on which the 'Murcia Brand" will be designed, highlights Mercedes Barnabas
The work tables will be organized in various themes, such as tourism and business, commerce and hospitality, culture and heritage and sport, among others.
“Brands are part of our daily activity, it is a way of understanding the world and defining who we are.
And for this, citizen participation is necessary, in addition to social and political consensus, ”says the mayor of the Urban Agenda.
City mark
The City of Murcia has been immersed since 2018 in the process of developing its city brand.
Last August, the results of the 'Marca Murcia' report on the values ​​and vision of the national and international projection of the municipality, in which more than 1,200 people participated, were announced.
The process continued in October with the celebration of a technical day in which various experts in the field analyzed the identity of the municipality and the qualities of the city.
The strategy continues this month with the organization of the working groups of the different topics to be discussed.
