The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, has met with the board of the Murcian Organization of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals (OMEP) to know their lines of action in promoting equality in the business field.
In this way, the president of the organization has presented some of the actions they carry out in the field of women, such as the OMEP Awards 2019 with their different categories.
"It is essential for this Department the development of initiatives such as these that promote citizen participation, equality and entrepreneurship among women," said Mercedes Bernabé.
Likewise, the support of the City Council for aid calls for the OMEP collective has been treated, as well as the advice for projects.
As for European programs, the Association has shared its experience in this area with some of the initiatives it has already developed such as Now, Equal Concilia, Adelántate Mujer or E Micro, the latter with the collaboration of the Murcian council.
The mayor has stated that this is the line of the 2030 Agenda in which the session is immersed.
âWe are on the road to a sustainable city model, based on security and values, but above all focused on people,â adds Barnabas.
