The University of Murcia and the University of Cádiz organize the 'IV International Symposium on Maritime History and Archeology' which, under the title 'Uniting worlds across seas and oceans', will take place at UMU and UPCT facilities on the 4th and November 5, 2019.
The objective of this scientific meeting is to know and discuss open lines of research around the sea and its problems over time.
The works that nurture the six scheduled tables will deal with problems around maritime archeology and heritage, naval, port and coastal scientific and technological evolution, the history of the navy, the development of maritime routes and the particularity of the people of sea.
The previous editions of these days were held in Cádiz and Lisbon, important Atlantic ports.
For the first time they look out over the Mediterranean, to which the Region of Murcia is headed, highlighting in its coastal landscape the port of Cartagena, with its historic maritime infrastructure and currently the headquarters of the National Museum of Underwater Archeology.
