For the Podemos-Equo municipal group, the attention to women victims of gender violence "must have all the guarantees of security, privacy and humanity" and with the state of the building, "these premises are not fulfilled".

The care rooms are not individual, but are shared with other victims with the sole separation of a screen.

The building is old, it is not adapted to the needs of the service, it is full of damp and has many damages.

For all these reasons, the municipal group Podemos-Equo will submit a motion to the Plenary on October 31 for the municipal corporation "to recognize the need to relocate the space where more than half of the women victims of gender violence are served. from our municipality and proceed to relocation. "
For its part, the motion also urges "to provide the EMAVI with sufficient and necessary budget to carry out their work in the best conditions."
On the other hand, Ginés Ruiz Maciá will focus on the issue of housing in the motion that will take this month to the plenary for discussion and approval.
Before repeated breaches of the motions approved in this matter, from the municipal group Podemos-Equo have warned of the need to provide a larger budget for the municipal housing service since, "it is clear that not even the staff is sufficient to undertake all the initiatives of the Plenary nor the service has the necessary budget to adapt to them ".
Therefore, Ruiz Maciá will defend the importance of "reflecting the budgetary need in a real way in the 2020 accounts and being able to carry out a housing policy adjusted to the reality of the municipality."
To this end, a plenary council will also be requested in the Plenary to develop the housing policy properly and that the Plenary urges the Autonomous Community to "provide the municipality with the necessary budget to develop the improper competencies that it has been assuming in this matter. "
