The Governing Board has approved the award of remodeling and expansion of the Municipal Center of Aljucer.
The current building, which is accessed by Senda Alta Street, is distributed on the ground floor, which is going to be completely renovated inside.
The new projected building, on the first floor, is raised on part of the existing building so it will be necessary to cancel the current access on the ground floor creating a new access through the square.
After the works, a first floor will be created in which an exhibition hall, a multipurpose room and two toilets will be enabled, one of them being adapted.
In the existing building, on the ground floor, the reception, a warehouse, an archive, the Municipal Office, the Mayor's Office, the Social Educator, the Social Care Unit and some toilets and warehouses are currently located.
In this way 195 new square meters will be enabled, being the total constructed area of ​​560 square meters.
This project is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, which coordinates the Department of Pedanías y Barrios, which is directed by Marco Antonio Fernández.
The works will be executed by Malgo Generación SL, within a period of 10 months and with a total investment of 431,530 euros.
