The Once Foundation has delivered three wheelchairs this morning adapted to the UCAM Murcia BSR club, which will be destined for the students of the sports school.
The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, along with the general director of Sports of the Region of Murcia, Fran Sánchez, and other direct members of the ONCE of his delegation from Murcia, have attended the donation ceremony in the Prince of Asturias pavilion , of Murcia.
After it, all attendees have shared some shots to the basket with the players.
The UCAM Murcia BSR was born four years ago and currently competes in the 1st division of the ONCE national league.
It is made up of a total of 14 players, of which three girls are qualified for the Tokyo 2020 games.
The wheelchairs donated by the Once Foundation will be for the students of the sports school, which currently has eight players.
Three of them are refugees belonging to Accem, an association that works to improve the quality of life of refugees and migrants or more vulnerable groups.
