The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the services of Prevention of Citizen Security, has developed an investigation to clarify several robberies with violence and intimidation committed in the Murcian districts of Sangonera la Seca and Sangonera la Verde, which has been settled with the identification, location and detention of its alleged author.
The proceedings began last September, when the Benemérita detected the commission of a crime against heritage, specifically a robbery with violence and intimidation in the Murcian district of Sangonera la Verde.
In the robbery, which took place during the night in a street in the town, the author surprised the victim of an elderly lady from behind and, after giving him several blows and tugs, he precipitated her on the ground causing her injuries, all this with the aim of subtracting a gold cord that he carried.
In the month of October a new robbery was committed with violence and intimidation.
In this case it was first thing in the morning when a neighbor of Sangonera la Seca who was driving with her vehicle had to stop the march to remove large branches that blocked the road.
When he returned to the vehicle he met the author of the events inside with his face partially covered with a handkerchief and wielding what looked like a firearm.
From the beginning of the police investigations, the investigators established a coincidence in the description of the author of both criminal acts, since they followed the same pattern of election of the victims.
Finally, the Civil Guard identified an individual, who frequented both populations and spent the night in abandoned implements or in illicitly occupied houses, since it fully coincided with the descriptions provided by both.
It was also found that he had a record for other property crimes.
The modus operandi followed in the thefts was similar.
The author attacked the victims in search of money and jewelry, ignoring other types of effects usually stolen in this type of robbery, such as mobile phones.
After consummating the criminal acts, the author undertook the flight on foot and used to hide in places close to those of robberies in order to avoid being detected in the corresponding immediate search that generates this type of event.
Once all the necessary evidence was obtained, the Civil Guard established a search device on the suspect who has culminated in his location and detention as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation.
So far, the now detained is credited with the alleged authorship of two crimes committed in Sangonera la Seca and Sangonera la Verde, not ruling out his involvement in more criminal acts.
The arrested and the proceedings have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Murcia, which has decreed his entry into prison.
