The Federation of Murcian Associations of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities (Famdif / Cocemfe-Murcia) has started today with its' School Campaign on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2019-2020, aimed at all educational centers in the Region of Murcia .
The Councilor for Education and Infantile Schools, Belén López, has attended this morning at the start of this initiative at the CEIP La Flota de Murcia, together with the president of the organization, Carmen Gil, the Minister of Education and Culture, Esperanza Moreno, the Senator Violante Tomás.
“From the council I lead, I want to highlight and thank the awareness work carried out by this association, for the elimination of barriers and a more inclusive education,†says Belén López.
The Association has been carrying out this activity for 28 years with the aim of raising awareness among all schoolchildren about the normalization and inclusion of these people.
Since then, it has reached over 84,000 students in the Region.
Last year there were 292 workshops and talks reaching 9,611 students of Infant, Primary and Secondary.
These performances are free, have an hour duration and are adapted to all courses, from the five-year class for children to the University classrooms, through Primary, ESO, Bachelor and Training Cycles.
