This is a free activity that will take place on October 26 at the Verónica Market next to a gastronomic workshop

After the success of the last family workshop of Fish with Art II returns Pescado en familia, a sea of ​​dishes to the Veronica Market in Murcia.

It is an activity whose objective is to make known to people of all ages, the least known fish and shellfish from our coast.

Through two participatory workshops, one in the fresh fish markets and the other gastronomic, the participants will learn to make a responsible fish purchase and prepare delicious recipes with seasonal fish from the hand of Mireia Ruiz Manresa, MasterChef participant and creator of the Cooking Smiles project.

In addition, they can also discover different fishing gear with low environmental impact and high social benefit.

The activity, aimed at a family audience (under 12 years of age), will take place on Saturday, October 26 in the morning (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and is free.

To participate, it is essential to pre-register through the form provided on the website of the entity (deadline for registration: Thursday, October 24).

Pescados con Arte II is an initiative of the Columbares Association and the Association of Artisanal Fishermen of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata-Nijar (PESCARTES) to publicize the social, environmental, cultural and gastronomic value of the fisheries caught from artisanal form in the Murcia-Almeria coast and promote the consumption of sustainable fishery products.

The project is supported by the Biodiversity Foundation, the Ministry for Ecological Transition, through the high tide program, co-financed by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, in collaboration with the University of Murcia, the Amureco and Fornet Association.

Pescados con Arte II contributes to achieving the objectives of the LIFE IP INTEMARES project "Integrated, innovative and participatory management of the Natura 2000 Network in the Spanish marine environment".
