The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillén, visited the SECOM company this morning, which is developing a lighting system that will be installed within the DNA project El Carmen and that will simulate a starry sky.
Specifically, work is being done to improve the lighting of Álvarez Quintero Street, which will have 21 new points of light, with a cube shape and a white polycarbonate cylinder.
"These facilities will provide light more efficiently and ecologically, but they will also serve as a decorative element of ornamentation and beautification, perfectly integrated into the environment, making with this action of urban acupuncture, more beautiful this historic neighborhood of the urban center of Murcia", highlights the concilor.
The Murcia company Secom has been responsible for integrating the luminaries into the facilities, which will be of 100 watts LED type.
These points will work at 50% daily and will work at 100% when needed, such as on market days or any act held.
“This new system saves energy, is more sustainable and committed to the environment and provides the street with more clarity, which translates into greater security for neighbors,†explains José Guillén.
Another novelty is the decorative contribution to the neighborhood.
And it is that the structures will be placed in such a way that it will simulate a starry sky.
This action is also framed within the project 'SmartCity.
MiMurcia ', in which the City of Murcia and Red.es work together.
An open communication will be carried out, aimed at facilitating and expediting all administrative and sustainable procedures, as well as focusing on the effective management of all municipal resources and services, such as lighting.
In this sense, the company Secom will be responsible for the luminaires that will be digitally controlled.
The new system will detect breakdowns, manipulate the power of light, electric vehicle charges, Wi-Fi and irrigation points, among other actions.
