At the end of 2019, Murcia City Council will have almost 100 kilometers of regional roads with municipal ownership.
This will allow the Consistory to make investments that improve the road network of districts, as pointed out today by the Councilor for Development, Mario Gomez, during the celebration of the
Monitoring Commission of the agreement between the CARM and the City Council for the improvement of road communications in the municipality of Murcia.
To the almost 38 kilometers already transferred, another 46 kilometers will be added, once the Regional Administration pays the City Council the 10 million euros that are missing from the total of € 76.5 million agreed in the collaboration agreement between the Autonomous Community and the Murcia City Hall.
Roads to yield
The proposed roads to be transferred include, among others, the RM-300 (Alquerías Station- Miguel Induráin Avenue), RM-611 (Nonduermas- Venta de la Paloma), RM-A4 (Montepinar- Rambla de Churra), RM- B2 (Rincon de Seca), RM-B3 (Los Jerónimos-Espinardo), RM-F2 (Avenida Primero de Mayo- Boundary with the province of Alicante), RM-F3 (Carretera de la Fuensanta-Patiño-San Benito), RM -F6 (Los Dolores- San José de la Montaña), RM-F7 (Plain of Bruges- Hermitage of San Antón), T-300 (Crossing of Beniaján) and T-303 (Crossing of Alquerías).
"We will proceed to review all the proposed sections to ensure that the roads assumed by the City of Murcia are in the best conditions," said the head of Development.
Coastal
Similarly, the mayor of Development has reported that in the coming weeks the necessary meetings will be held between the municipal technicians and the construction company of the Corteras to claim the company in charge of the works the immediate rectification of the repairs and deficiencies detected with in order to definitively receive these vials and ensure that they are in the optimal conditions included in the project.
