The University of Murcia opens this Thursday, October 17, the seventh edition of the Master in Corporate Social Responsibility, which will take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Business, at 6 pm.
The event will feature the presence, among others, of Longinos Marín, Vice Chancellor of Social Responsibility and Transparency of the UMU;
Andrés Alberto Álvarez de Cienfuegos, General Director of Social Economy and Autonomous Work of the CARM;
and Juan Samuel Baixauli, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UMU.
This master's degree strengthens the connection effort that, from the CSR Chair, is carried out between the University of Murcia and the business fabric of the Region to favor and develop the implementation of responsible management systems in Murcia companies.
Inaugural lesson by Juan José Almagro
To finish the event, Juan José Almagro, honorary president of the Chair of Social Responsibility of the UMU, will give the inaugural lesson 'Social Responsibility: start over'.
On the other hand, Almagro will offer in the morning, at 12.30 pm, the conference 'The pending revolutions: University, Business and Society', which will take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Business.
Juan José Almagro has a degree in Law and a Doctor of Labor Sciences, an honorary doctorate from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and the Catholic University of Córdoba (Argentina).
He is the honorary president of the Chair of Social Responsibility of the UMU, has been general director of Mapfre, director of its foundation, vice president of Unicef ​​Spain, has published five books on ethics and social responsibility and is a regular columnist for newspapers such as' El País 'and' Five Days', 'Responsible Journal' and 'Ethic'.
