The University of Murcia starts on Monday the activities of the University Welcome with a program that will last until October 30 and includes conferences, screenings, sports tournaments, theater, concerts and other cultural and leisure activities.
The volunteering will also have a central role within the Welcome of the University of Murcia (BUM) and an example will be the solidarity campaign for the collection of children's and youth books for the Alcázares library, which will last until the end of the month.
Those who want to make donations can take their books to the lobby of the University Social Center (CSU).
On Wednesday, October 16, in addition, the Solidarity Fair will take place with non-governmental organizations in the School of Communication and Documenting;
and the next day the Fair of Voluntary Collaborating Entities will be held at the CSU.
The workshops and conferences will be very marked by the celebration of the month of equality within the project 17 ODSessions for which the University of Murcia wants to raise awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Sports tournaments, film screenings and workshops will be happening during these weeks in the different centers of the University of Murcia.
One of the most important activities will be the celebration of a scaperoom organized by the Scientific Culture Unit.
One of the central events will be the Welcome concert, organized together with Estrella de Levante, and in which the groups Suede, Second and La MODA will be on stage on October 25 from 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza de Toros.
